Enrollment Fees

A total of four fees must be paid by Memorial University's medical learners prior to the official start of classes. Please note that all enrollment fees are required to be paid in full by August 24th, 2023.

Orientation Fees $150
MedSoc Fees $80
Canadian Federation of Medical Students $100
Graduation Fees $300
TOTAL FEES* $630

Please submit a payment of $630.00 via e-transfer to munmedsoc@gmail.com (inlcude your full name) or via money order/bank draft, made payable to "MEDICAL STUDENTS’ SOCIETY". Payments can be sent to:

A detailed breakdown of each fee can be found below:

    1. Orientation Fees

This fee covers the cost of some of the events and activities held during orientation week. These items include an orientation shirt, the crest on new learner's short white coats, food, and so forth.

    2. Medical Students Society (MEDSOC) Fees

This fee provides the MUN MedSoc with a working budget.

    3. Canadian Federation of Medical Students (CFMS)
 
This registration fee is required of all medical learners.
  
    4. Graduation Fee 
 
Learners pay their Graduation Fee upon their entrance to medical school. The class treasurer then invests the total to help cover some of the costs of the future graduation celebration. This fee typically covers:

  • 4 tickets to Graduation Dinner & Dance
  • the graduate's engraved shingle
  • gift for the school from the graduating class

*This fee goes directly to Class of 2027 specific events, so if there are any cancellations due to public health guidelines or for any other reason, the funds will remain available for this class of learners at a later date.

College of Physicians & Surgeons of Newfoundland & Labrador (CPSNL)               


During Orientation Week, CPSNL will be available to provide new medical learners with additional information about the role of the College. At this time, a fee of $150.00 can be made directly to CPSNL. For more information on how to pay the CPSNL Fee, please visit the Forms page.
