Short Term Rentals

The Faculty of Medicine encourages expressions of interest in areas where there are no existing long-term leases. Such provisions, from a few weeks to several months, can be needed in communities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.

A list of communities which actively host medical learners are coordinated in conjunction with the Distributed Medical Education office, Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services and clinical discipline can be found here. Often, the development of sites is an extended process and communities where short-term rentals are required may result in the tendering for long-term accommodations in the future. These accommodations are generally found by conventional means using word of mouth, public listings, Airbnb, etc. As with long-term leases, landlords are critical in helping to ensure learners and tenants have safe, secure and comfortable living conditions during these rotations and also act as a meaningful introduction to a neighbourhood and its offerings.

Should you have accommodations which you think may be well suited for our needs, please contact the accommodations coordinator with details and photos, where possible, to dme.accommodations@mun.ca
