Dr. Erin Smallwood is an alumnus of MUN’s Faculty of Medicine graduating from Medical School in 2005 and the Discipline of Family Medicine Residency program in 2007. She began her career as a community-based family physician in Corner Brook and has evolved her clinical work over the years. Currently, Dr. Smallwood is the attending physician for the Adult Rehab and Restorative Care Units with a focus on older adult care. She is actively engaged in medical education as the Lead Physician for Distributed Medical Education and the Stream Lead for the Western Stream, the Family Medicine Residency program within the Western Region. Erin is a busy mother of three children and enjoys participating in musicals as a singer, actor, and dancer. She has a keen interest in the intersection of arts and health and has been involved in several research initiatives exploring this as a means to enhance the health and wellbeing of her community.
