Dr. Kayla Furlong is an Emergency Medicine Physician in St. John's, NL. She completed her medical degree in 2019, followed by residencies in Family Medicine (2021), Emergency Medicine (2022), and Care of the Elderly (2024). Her research and academic interests are in geriatric emergency medicine.
Dr. Furlong is the Clinical Research Director for the Discipline of Emergency Medicine, the current Chair of the CAEP (Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians) Geriatric Emergency Medicine Committee, Faculty lecturer for the CAEP Geiratric Emergency Medicine Course, Provincial Lead for CEDRN (Canadian Emergency Department Research Network).
