Immunization & Mask Fit Testing

As an employee of Eastern Health, you are required to be immunized and fitted for a respirator mask. Screening, immunization, and fit testing is the responsibility of each resident, and must be completed prior to the start of residency. Without clearance from Eastern Health's Occupational Health office, as a working physician you can be denied access to the hospitals on July 1.

Immunization/testing and all forms must be completed in full prior to the start date of July 1.

RESPIRATOR MASK FIT TESTING 
 If you need an updated fit test, respirator mask fit testing is available at Memorial's Technical Services office for all incoming residents. Testing costs $45 and is charged at the time of the appointment   (debit/credit – no tap or cash).

 Prior to your appointment you must: 
  • Complete the online Respirator Program on D2L-Brightspace (for non-MUN grads, access to D2L will be provided in early June).
  • Complete the Respirator Use Screening Form provided at the end of the respirator program (it may need to be signed by PGME before your appointment).
  • Undergo an additional health assessment by the Student Health Centre (or your family doctor) if determined necessary by the Respirator Use Screening Form.
 Proof of clearance to be tested must be presented at your appointment, if indicate.
