Residence Requirements
As announced by the provincial government on July 3, 2024, the class size for August 2024 is increasing to 85 from 80 and from 85 to 90 in August 2025. Please see complete details here.
The 80 seats available for students come from 5 pools, each of which has its own residency criteria. Any applicant that does not fulfill the residency criteria for the Newfoundland, Nunavut, or Prince Edward Island pools will be placed in the Other Canada pool.
An applicant's residency status cannot be determined via phone prior to the application deadline.
Applicants are advised to apply in the pool to which they feel they belong and submit any supporting documentation to support their choice with their application. If further information is required by the Admissions Office regarding your residency, you will be contacted privately after the deadline.
