- Describe the components of an effective informed consent discussion
- Identify the key steps in disclosing a patient safety incident
- Commit to at least one strategy to promote psychological safety and encourage speaking up within your team
April 22, 2026 – Teaching Effectiveness Program

Format: The Teaching Effectiveness Program (TEP) is a required training component for all postgraduate learners at Memorial University and must be completed by the end of PGY 2.
As part of the TEP, all Royal College PGY 2 learners must complete four online modules on teaching and learning, and attend one of the five WebEx workshops scheduled between April 20-24.
The workshop includes a 5-7 minute presentation to be prepared and delivered by each attendee. The subject will be of your choosing, and can be delivered as either a formative presentation, e.g. a clinical case/topic of interest; or it can be used as an opportunity for you to practice developing presentation slides with the delivery of a short lecture.
