Research Interests
Dr. Anthony Incognito’s research focuses on neuromodulation therapies for enhancing cardiovascular health, with particular attention to autonomic nervous system function and blood pressure regulation. His work spans translational research on conditions like orthostatic intolerance and hypertension. Dr. Incognito aims to improve circulatory stability in patients through novel treatments, including electrical stimulation, optogenetics, and chemogenetics.
Key research areas include:
- Autonomic dysfunction in neurological conditions
- Hypertension and comorbidities
- Sympathetic control of blood pressure during daily stressors, like exercise, mental stress, and postural stress
- Neuromodulation approaches for cardiovascular health
- Translation of basic science findings to clinical applications
