Bio-Sketch: Dr. Jonathan Greenland is a Radiation Oncologist and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University of Newfoundland.

He grew up in St. John’s, Newfoundland and graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1995 with his MD and Bachelor of Medical Sciences. Dr. Greenland completed his Radiation Oncology Residency at the London Regional Cancer Centre in London, Ontario in June 2000 and was awarded the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada Certificate in Radiation Oncology, FRCPC and American Board of Radiology in June 2001.

His main areas of practice are thoracic and haematological. He is the current chair of Eastern Health’s Thoracic Diagnostic Triage Panel, which has the responsibility of navigating new patients with lung cancer from initial diagnosis and workup to the appropriate treatment providers. He was an early adopter of Tele-Medicine in Oncology and helped expand the program to its current level.
