Medicine Respirology


Dr. Jamie Farrell is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Memorial. He completed his Undergraduate MD at Memorial and then completed Internal Medicine Residency at Memorial. Following Internal Medicine, he completed Respirology Fellowship at the University of Ottawa, followed by additional Clinical Fellowships in Sleep Medicine and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. He is the Medical Director of the Pulmonary Rehab program at Eastern Health.

Dr. Farrell is heavily involved in medical education at MUN. He is a member of the Internal Medicine Residency Program Committee, and was the former Program Director. He is involved in Resident Promotions and Competency based Medical education, being a member of the Internal Medicine Competency Committee. He is involved nationally as an examiner for the RCPSC Internal Medicine exam and was on the RCPSC Respirology Specialty Committee. He has been a mentor to many UGME and PGME learners, as well as a number of Masters and PhD Candidates in the Faculty of Medicine. He looks forward to working further with medical learners in all areas of Well-Being and Career Advising.
