Our future physicians are often viewed as the front-line support for patients and their families whether they are seeing their family doctor or a specialist who is assessing and managing their health issues. But the practice and treatment of medicine would not be possible without the tremendous amount of time that goes into medical research. Our graduate learners are the health researchers of the future and thanks to advancements in graduate research we are finding ways of doing things more effectively and efficiently.

The Faculty of Medicine recently celebrated our future physicians and graduate researchers at our annual Scholarship, Bursary and Awards Ceremony on May 9. This event could not happen without the generosity and investment from our donors. Their contributions help students realize their dreams and helps shape the future of health care in Newfoundland and Labrador and we thank them for their support.
