Personal Lines of Credit
During medical school interest that accrues on a Personal Line of Credit (PLC) is capitalized. This means that every month the bank calculates the interest owing on your PLC balance and then adds that amount directly to the PLC. This increases the amount owing on your line of credit and means that you are paying interest on interest.
