Our 2023/2024 annual report highlights many achievements and advancements in medical education, research and social accountability from April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024.

During this time we brought our strategic plan, Destination Excellence, to a close and developed a new strategic plan for 2024-2027, Grounded in Excellence, which recognizes prior success and provides opportunity to refocus on new and key priority areas.

Our research continues to make a difference to the province of Newfoundland and Labrador and beyond and we continue to advance medical education in Atlantic Canada with the University of Prince Edward Island. While work is ongoing to develop a joint Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, we are opening a regional campus on PEI to offer a MD degree in the fall of 2025.

Thank you for your interest in and unwavering support of our Faculty of Medicine. The year ahead will see us continue to aim higher and advance medical education, research and social accountability.
