I joined Grenfell Campus in 2013, following postdoctoral fellowships at Ryerson University, the University of Regina, and Carleton University. I studied at the University of Leeds and at Queen Mary, University of London (2002-06), in the UK, and was also an exchange student at the University of Waterloo.

My mathematical interests are in discrete mathematics: loosely, this means "things you can count". This includes graph theory, combinatorial design theory, coding theory and group theory (think of symmetries of complex shapes).

I conduct research in geometric and functional inequalities, including sharp constants, optimizers and stability results, with applications to nonlinear PDEs on Euclidean spaces, Heisenberg groups, and hyperbolic spaces. I also have interests in harmonic analysis, mathematical physics, and quantum information.
