Conference Facilities

Every year we host a range of events at the Bonne Bay Aquarium & Research Station. We have a well equipped 86-seat lecture theatre that is suitable for conferences, meetings, and also serves as a performance venue.

For meetings and breakout sessions, we also have a bright comfortable library and two laboratories that can be used for round-table discussions.

If you are booking a conference/meeting with us, it may be possible to host your delegates subject to availability.  Contact our manager at

Accommodations & Living

Our facility is home to Memorial University students, researchers and faculty through much of the spring, summer and fall semesters. We have student residence-type accommodations available to the groups mentioned above coming to our facility. It is not open to the general public, however, members of the public are encouraged to search Visit Gros Morne or the town of Norris Point's Accommodations page for information on accommodation in the Bonne Bay region.

  • Our rooms are all shared, with shower and washroom facilities, with a total of 31 beds.
  • Laundry and kitchen facilities are also available and are shared with all residents.

We also host conferences and workshops annually. If you would like to talk with us about hosting a conference or meeting, please e-mail our residence coordinator for rates and availability.
