Halford, Melissa; program coordinator

Melissa is from Newfoundland and has lived, worked and studied in Nova Scotia, South Korea and the United States. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Francis Xavier University and a Masters degree from Memorial University. All of Melissa's spare time is spent with her wonderful husband and their two outstanding children. Together, they enjoy playing pretend, making noise and telling stories.

 

Penney-Toba, Natalie; instructor

Natalie is from the Corner Brook area. She lived in Japan for more than 15 years. Natalie holds a Master's degree TESOL from Columbia University in New York. She also holds a Bachelor's of Education and Bachelor of Arts from Memorial University. She has 15 years ESL teaching experiences at universities, public schools and language schools in Japan and Canada. She has enjoyed travelling to many countries in Asia and Europe. She hopes to continue travelling while enjoying many outdoor activities.

 

Bailey, Nicole; instructor

Nicole is from Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. She graduated from Memorial University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Education and later completed a Master of Education in Curriculum Studies. Nicole has gained valuable teaching experience here in NL over the past number of years and has also taught while living abroad in Australia, Colombia, and most recently in South Korea. She began teaching with the Grenfell ESL program in 2016. Nicole enjoys traveling as well as the many outdoor activities the west coast of NL has to offer.

 

Tiller, Laura; instructor

Laura grew up in Corner Brook and has lived and taught in South Korea, the Marshall Islands, and Turkey. Laura holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts (VA) from Memorial University and has worked in the ESL field for over 10 years. Laura likes to spend time enjoying the beautiful nature on offer in Western Newfoundland and often enjoys reading, creating, and spoiling her cats.
