Teaching interests
Besides introductory psychology, I primarily teach courses in psychology of education, psychology of women, personality psychology, psychotherapy, and positive psychology. I occasionally teach courses in learning and social psychology. I have taught in international settings: graduate courses at Jilin University, Changchun, China (winter semester, 2012), and an undergraduate course at Chonnam National University in Gwangju, Korea (summer session, 2022).
Research interests
I have conducted studies in the areas of breast cancer tattoos, memorial tattoos, teaching abroad, transracial adoption, women’s problem gambling, and graduate women’s experiences. I am interested in social justice as well as identity issues.
