BUSN & MGMT Courses

Grenfell Campus' business courses are designated by the prefix ‘BUSN’, and enrolment in most BUSN courses is restricted (meaning priority granted) to students who are registered in a Grenfell Business program (e.g., BBA, business minor, certificate in entrepreneurship programs).

A complete list of undergraduate BUSN courses may be found in the Business section of the University Calendar. Students should note that course prerequisite will not be waived, and so must be accounted for in their program planning each term.

Each semester’s course offerings will be posted in Memorial Self-Service, and may also be found by visiting the Office of the Registrar’s Course Offerings page before the start of each term.

To find out what business course offerings are available in an upcoming term, students can search Memorial’s Self-Service system, or visit the Office of the Registrar’s Course Offerings page. When searching, be sure to first select the appropriate term from the Undergraduate or Graduate Courses lists, then select “All” for campus, and “Business Admin (Grenfell)” for subject area—this will ensure you will view all on-campus and online BUSN course offerings in a given semester.

'MGMT' designates courses in the Master of Management program; these courses are not available to undergraduate students and are reserved for students accepted to this graduate program.

Purchasing Textbooks & Other Course Materials

Students should expect that most of their courses will require the purchase of a textbook or other supplemental resource (e.g., business cases).

All textbook/resource materials for BUSN on-campus, online, and remote courses will be specified by course instructors in their first class of term.

Often, instructors post their course material requirements in the MUN Bookstore online in the weeks before the start of a semester. When searching the online bookstore, students enrolling in BUSN courses should search both “Online Courses” and “Grenfell Campus/Remote” course listings to identify their course materials.

Once students have confirmed their required course materials, they may also choose to search alternative sources (e.g., direct from publishers, other online bookstores, second-hand books). Before making any purchase from an alternate seller, note that it is your responsibility to ensure that the materials you are purchasing are the same version or edition as required in your course.
