One-year major research project
Two-year thesis option - to allow international students the opportunity to gain working visas on completion.
Minimum admission requirements
MALA – Bachelor's degree in Literature or related area from a recognized institution, with a minimum CGPA of 3.0; six undergraduate courses in English
Minimum TOEFL scores are: 580 for the paper-based test; 237 on the computer-based test; or 92 on the Internet-based test. The minimum IELTS score is an overall band score of 7.0. The minimum MUNTEL score is an overall band score of 70.
One seat per year will be reserved for a student with Indigenous ancestry who meets the minimum criteria for admission. There will be a bursary for an Indigenous student to study full-time for the MALA. Applicants wishing to be considered under this clause shall declare their Indigenous ancestry at the time of application.
