Deborah Offia

Junior analyst
Deborah is a third-year student at Memorial University pursuing a joint Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) and Bachelor of Arts in Economics. With a strong interest in finance, she is building a foundation in financial analysis, economics, and business strategy, and is eager to apply these skills in professional settings. She recently prepared a stock pitch for CGI Inc., analysing the company’s growth strategy, financial performance, and key industry catalysts, and continues to develop her ability to evaluate complex information and communicate insights effectively.
In addition to academic projects, Deborah has gained organizational and project management experience through the Newfoundland and Labrador Athletics Association (NLAA), where she contributed to the planning and execution of provincial athletic events. She is also actively engaged in community volunteering, supporting local initiatives and student-led projects that foster teamwork and leadership.
Outside of structured commitments, Deborah has a natural curiosity and eagerness to learn—whether that means exploring new aspects of finance, engaging with different cultures, or discovering new places through travel. This openness to learning shapes both her personal growth and professional aspirations.
Looking ahead, Deborah is excited to continue developing through co-op and internship opportunities, applying knowledge in real-world finance and business environments, and contributing meaningfully to the teams and organizations she joins.
