Equity Analyst

Tiernan MacCharles is a fourth-year Commerce (Co-op) student with a focus in accounting and finance and an anticipated graduation of April 2026. He has received Memorial University’s Entrance Scholarship and is a Dean’s List Recipient for 2023-2024. Tiernan is also President of the Memorial University Consulting and Advisory Club, and Director of Sponsorship for the Commerce student council class of ’26.

Professionally, he has completed one internship at Ernst & Young (EY) in the Assurance service line and is currently back for his second internship with EY. He has served as a finance consultant for The Toronto Star, contributing to stories on The Federal Budget Lockup. He is very passionate about capital markets with a tentative plan to complete CFA level 1 before graduation.

Outside of Memorial, Tiernan is very into fitness, both weight-lifting and long-distance running. He ran 16 kilometres everyday for 31 days, fundraising over $3,000 for the Janeway Children’s Hospital.
