Portfolio manager

Tiernan MacCharles is currently in his last year of the Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) degree with an anticipated graduation in May 2026. Tiernan joined The Fund as an Analyst in 2024 and was promoted to Sector Manager the same year, before being promoted to Co-Portfolio Manager in 2025.

Outside of The Fund, Tiernan has completed three work terms with Ernst & Young in the Assurance service line, focusing mainly on Public Technology companies. Tiernan was also the President of Memorial’s Consulting Club, leading two engagements with local sports organizations. He is a Fellow in the Propel Impact Fund and has served on his class's student council as Director of Sponsorship.

In his free time, Tiernan has run multiple ultramarathons, raised thousands for the local children’s hospital through Million Reasons Run, and pursues his passion for fitness through weightlifting and running.

Upon graduation, Tiernan will be joining Ernst & Young’s Business Consulting - Finance Transformation team in Toronto.
