Precious Dela Cruz

Precious Dela Cruz is a second-year student in Memorial’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. Prior to joining the MBA program, she had four years of work experience in supply chain, operations, sales and marketing in two multinational companies (Nestle and P&G) in the Philippines.

While in the MBA program, Ms. Dela Cruz has received several scholarship and fellowship awards, and has striven to make a positive impact both within the university and the broader community through active engagement in various programs and initiatives.

She has contributed to the success and growth of various startups and social enterprises through the Insight Business Consulting (IBC) Program, Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) program, and Work Experience in Social Enterprise (WESE) program.

She was selected in the IBC program twice and was partnered with two Newfoundland startups, OPAS Mobile and Roots and Wings Fish Co., to work as a management consultant for marketing and business development.

She was also one of the four MBA student representatives selected to participate in the CDL program, with some sessions held in Halifax, N.S., where she provided valuable research and marketing support to an Atlantic Canada startup, Aruna Revolution.

Through the WESE program, Ms. Dela Cruz serves as a marketing and organizational development co-ordinator to two local social enterprises, Again & Again and Perchance Theatre Centre.

Apart from these programs, she has also engaged in several other initiatives. She became a faculty member for the Shad program at Memorial, where she conducted seminars on business topics and served as a project mentor to high school students from across Canada.

She’s currently a member of the Memorial Centre for Entrepreneurship’s Disruptive Thinkers Club, volunteers for Again & Again in cleaning, painting and upcycling furniture to support Home Again Furniture Bank’s mandate to provide furniture to low income households, and has also volunteered for Memorial’s Student Experience Office in welcoming new students to the university.
