Dr. Victor Young Graduate Student Citizenship Award
The Dr. Victor Young Graduate Student Citizenship Award was created in 2019 to recognize Dr. Young (B.Comm.(Hons.) '66)’s achievements and valuable contributions to Memorial University and the Faculty of Business Administration.
This award celebrates graduate business students who have greatly contributed to student life, the faculty, the university and the community through volunteering, and who have demonstrated an ability to apply academic experience in a real-world context.
Nomination guidelines:
- Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6.
- Nominations are encouraged from faculty members, individual peers or peer groups, not-for-profit organizations, and public or private employers in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
- Self nominations are welcome.
- This award will recognize achievements pursued throughout the student’s program of studies.
- The nominee must be a current graduate student in the Faculty of Business Administration and be in good academic standing.
- Nominations are confidential.
- A selection committee from the Faculty of Business Administration will review nominations.Only successful candidates will be contacted.
- The nominator may be contacted by the selection committee to provide clarity or additional information regarding the nominee.
- The successful candidate must attend the annual Partners Celebration awards gala to receive the award. In 2026, Partners will be held on Thursday, April 23 at 4:30 p.m. at the Emera Innovation Exchange, Signal Hill Campus, in St. John’s.
