Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)

In 2002, we became the first business faculty in Atlantic Canada to earn AACSB International accreditation. AACSB is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools, providing a professional standard that recognizes a high-quality teaching environment, a commitment to continuous improvement, and curricula that is responsive to the needs of business. It’s the highest distinction business schools can achieve worldwide.

Chartered Professionals in Human Resources, Newfoundland and Labrador
Students and graduates (going back to 2013) of our bachelor of commerce (B.Comm.), bachelor of commerce (co-operative)(B.Comm.(Co-op.) and bachelor of business administration (BBA) degrees may avail of a streamlined path to becoming a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR). Eligible candidates may apply for certain course exemptions and waive the national entry exam. CPHR Canada represents 31,000 human resources professionals across Canada, and CPHR N.L. is the only certifying organization for CPHR designation in the province. Read more.

CEWIL’s mission is to foster and advance post-secondary co-operative education in Canada. Memorial’s co-operative commerce program because the first business degree in Canada to earn this distinction in 1980.

Supply Chain Canada

Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) is Canada’s principal designation in supply chain that recognizes Canadian supply chain professionals and organizations for leading innovation, global competitiveness and driving economic growth. An accreditation agreement between Memorial's Faculty of Business Administration and Supply Chain Canada provides for certain course exemptions so that business graduates are assured of the advanced standing that they will receive towards the SCMP. Partnerships

Bloomberg Experiential Learning Partner (ELP)

We’ve been recognized as a Bloomberg Experiential Learning Partner (ELP) by Bloomberg Education since 2019. This program recognizes academic institutions that are leaders in experiential learning through integrating Bloomberg terminal exercises into curricula. Housed in the White Trading Lab, our Bloomberg terminals may be used by any student, staff or faculty member at the university. Instructional tutorials are regularly offered to improve understanding of how this technology may be used in all aspects of academia.

Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Canada

CPA Canada is one of the largest national accounting organizations in the world and a respected voice in the business, government, education and non-profit sectors. We have a national reputation for excellence in accounting education, and CPA Canada formally recognizes a number of our courses. This recognition allows students to complete prerequisites for the CPA Professional Education Program as part of their undergraduate studies.

CFA Institute

CFA Institute is a global, not-for-profit professional organization that provides investment professionals with finance education. It aims to promote the highest standards in ethics, education and professional excellence in the global investment industry. We’re proud to be part of the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program, which signals to students and employers that our curriculum is closely tied to the practice of investment management and is helpful to students preparing for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) program exams. A significant portion of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge is included in the curricula of our undergraduate programs as well as our two-year master of business administration (MBA) program.
