Personal Profile
Dr. Yang Xu’s research interests cover investment and risk management. With working experience in a tiger-seeded hedge fund in the centre of New York, her research orients from a practitioner’s perspective that focuses the interdisciplinary approach to examine how different types of risk considerations may impact corporate financing decisions, market investment decisions and security return behaviours.
Her work has been presented in several international conferences as CDI Conference on Derivatives, Financial Management Association European Conference, European Financial Management Association Conference, Asian Finance Annual Conference and Southwestern Finance Association Conference.
She holds a doctor of philosophy (PhD) in business from Baruch College, City University of New York (CUNY), and a master of science (M.Sc.) in financial mathematics from the University of Chicago.
