*All consultations other than library report will be added to the proposals.
Once a department has a calendar change that has passed through their undergraduate studies committee and department, the proposal will be submitted to fosugconsulations@mun.ca, as per the appropriate template from the FoS website and in Word format, by the above dates for inclusions in the corresponding FoSCUgS and Faculty Council Meeting.
The Dean’s office will send the proposal out for consultations (including to each department, the co-op office, and the dean’s office) and receive any comments to amend to the proposal. All comments requiring departmental consideration (ie. other than minor typos) will be forwarded to the departmental contact email address. Otherwise, the proposal will be circulated to FoSCUgS with consultations received.
If there are any concerns regarding resource implications, the dean’s office will consult with the department prior to the proposal going to FoSCUgS.
Note: If departments would like to do preliminary consults with other departments, this should be done prior to the formal submission to the Dean of Science Office.
Notes on FoSCUgS processes.
FoSCUgS meetings will be held on Mondays, the week prior to Faculty council. This will give two days for any last-minute changes to be made prior to the agenda being sent out to Faculty Council.
Members of FoSCUgS should have already commented on the proposals during the consultation process limiting the number and seriousness of changes required resulting from the FoSCUgS meeting.
