Abstract

Powerful statistical models that can be learned efficiently from large amounts of data are currently revolutionizing many fields, including computer vision, natural language processing, and information retrieval. These models possess rich internal structure reflecting task-specific relations and constraints. In this talk I will review the most popular classes of structured prediction models, and will describe recent methods to extend the expressive power of these models.
