When is registration?
Registration will be open Jan. 22 to February 26. Registrations submitted after that time will be waitlisted and approved as space and scheduling allows.
NEW: registration has been extended to March 4th at 4PM.
I need to update my abstract- how do I do this?
If you want to update your registration please reach out to seaconf@mun.ca for help.
When will the scheudule be available?
The preliminary schedule is now available. A final schedule will be available abpproximately 1 week before the conference.
Is there a cost to attend the conference?
This conference is free for all attendees.
What is the Gong Show?
The Gong Show is a fun competition which challenges students, post-doctoral fellows and faculty members to describe their science in a way that anyone can understand, or in other words, jargon-free, and in three minutes or less.

Can anyone attend the Gong show?
The gong show is open to the public- please tell your freinds and family!
How big should my poster be?
The maximum size for posters is 4 ft x 4 ft (120 cm x 120 cm).
How long are the talks?
10 min presentation followed by a 5min question and answer period.
When should I set up my poster?
TBD.
If I want to do a talk, but there aren't enough slots, will I be given an opportunity to present a poster instead?
The conference is a multi-session event happening over two days with many opportunities to present. We believe we will be able to accommodate a student's first choice. However, if, for some reason, we are unable to, we will reach out to the student to determine their second choice.
