Travel Support for Graduate Students
The Faculty of Science at Memorial University supports graduate students in showcasing their research and engaging with peers from other institutions. To aid in this, the faculty offers conference travel grants of up to $400, designed to match departmental support.
Eligibility and Guidelines:
- Master's Students (M.Sc.): Eligible for one travel grant, typically utilized towards the end of their program to present research findings.
- Ph.D. Students: Eligible for up to two grants throughout their program, with a maximum of one grant awarded per fiscal year.
To qualify for a grant, students must present their work at the conference (both poster and oral presentations are acceptable).
Application Process:
- Submit the Graduate Student Request for Travel Assistance form to the Office of the Dean of Science.
- Provide written proof of paper acceptance with your application. If acceptance is pending, funding will be conditional upon confirmation.
