Funding and Scholarships
Memorial University provides competitive funding packages for academically eligible full-time graduate students, including both Canadian and international candidates, across eligible programs.
Ph.D. students have the opportunity to be automatically considered for the prestigious School of Graduate Studies Dean's Doctoral Award. This competitive award offers an additional $5,000 per year for up to four years, supplementing other funding sources such as Fellowships, Teaching Assistantships (TAs), and supervisor grant stipends.
Additionally, graduate students focusing on marine animal behavior, marine conservation, coastal community revitalization, or current fishery challenges are encouraged to apply for The Dr. Jon Lien Memorial Scholarship.
