Science Fair

The Faculty of Science at Memorial University has a rich tradition of active participation in the Cenovus Energy Eastern Newfoundland Science and Technology Fair, exemplified by our ongoing commitment to funding and judging various awards. These awards play a pivotal role in recognizing and encouraging the outstanding scientific achievements of students across grades 7 to 12 in Eastern Newfoundland.

The funding for these awards is made possible through generous donations from faculty members, staff, and supporters who share our passion for promoting scientific excellence and innovation among young learners. These contributions not only help sustain the fair but also underscore our dedication to nurturing the next generation of scientists and researchers.

Each year, our faculty members, staff, and dedicated graduate students volunteer their time and expertise to serve as judges for the fair. Their involvement ensures that participants receive valuable feedback and recognition for their scientific endeavors, further motivating them to pursue their interests in science and technology. This collaborative effort underscores our belief in the importance of fostering curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills among students, paving the way for a future shaped by scientific discovery and ingenuity.
