FOSTER Science Program
Empowering Youth Through Hands-On STEM Education
The FOSTER (Faculty Of Science Trips to Experience Real) Science Program at Memorial University aims to ignite curiosity and enthusiasm for science among young learners through hands-on, exploratory activities. Collaborating across the departments of Biochemistry, Biology, and Chemistry, our program offers educational outreach that enriches science education for students across Newfoundland and Labrador. By providing lab visits and adaptable science resources, we support teachers and mentors in delivering experiential learning aligned with curriculum objectives.
This initiative not only promotes scientific literacy but also encourages students to consider future opportunities in science, guided by local mentors and supported by career development insights from local scientists.
