Employment Services are available to newcomers who are eligible to work in Canada including permanent residents, temporary residents and international students/graduates, as well as spouses and family members.

The Association of Engineering Technicians and Technologists of Newfoundland and Labrador (AETTNL) is an organization that represents the interests of technicians and technologists in Newfoundland and Labrador. Master of Public Administration (MPA):

The Dalhousie MPA seeks to equip students with the management skills required by public service organizations as well as, an understanding of the organization, processes and policies of government, its public agencies and the policy groups that work in the public sector. This dual focus is a unique characteristic of the MPA program and makes it highly suited for those interested in a career in the public sector or management. With a 4 month paid internship incorporated into the program, this program is specifically designed to help early career professionals realize advanced educational objectives and achieve academic ambitions in public policy and public management.

 

Master of Information (MI):

Our Master of Information Program is a degree offering distinct flexibility and breadth of knowledge to students, that explores issues emerging at the intersections of technology, information and people. With distinct customizable features such as a thesis option, available certificates, and the ability to do the program on a part time basis, the MI allows students to build a customized career in the dynamic information landscape.

 

Master of Science in Business (MScB):

The Master of Science in Business Program is a research-oriented graduate thesis program. This intensive and small program provides you with enhanced opportunities to enter a PhD program in business administration or boost your career in industry with skills in academic research. Students develop their skills through courses in their area of specialization and by writing and thesis, specializing in either Marketing, Finance, Management Information Systems, or Management while receiving direct supervision from one of our Faculty Members.

The Department of Health and Community Services is responsible for the overall strategic direction and priorities for health and community services throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. Under its mandate, the department works to provide leadership, coordination, monitoring, and support to Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services – the new provincial health authority – and other entities that deliver health care programs and services across the province. Memorial University

Our four-year undergraduate medical program provides a comprehensive and integrated medical education. Teaching methods are diverse, but there is an emphasis on small group teaching. The size of the faculty and the student body facilitate a personalized learning environment.

Our curriculum places particular emphasis on community and rural medicine learning environments, and patient contact starts early in a medical student’s training. Memorial's medical graduates are sought after across Canada and in the U.S. and are recognized for their clinical maturity and good grounding in the basics. The Faculty of Medicine excels in clinical teaching, and has research expertise in specific areas of clinical specialties, community health, epidemiology, applied health and services research and basic medical science including neurosciences, immunology, cardiovascular & renal physiology and human genetic research.

There are 80 seats in the Doctor of Medicine Degree, 66 of which are reserved for residents of the Province. The holistic approach to application review allows applicants from diverse and unique backgrounds to be considered – academics are only a part of the big picture!  Our diversity areas of focus are Indigenous applicants, applicants from rural areas, and applicants of low-socioeconomic status. Fee assistance is available to applicants to aid in the cost of applying. A career as a physician is an exciting and rewarding career where every day is different!

Memorial University

Educating nurses for over 50 years, Memorial University of Newfoundland's Faculty of Nursing has grown a reputation for excellence in this province, across the country and internationally.

We offer a bachelor of science in nursing (BScN) program with a four-year option and three-year accelerated optionOur graduate programs include a master of science in nursing (MScN) program with practicum and nurse practitioner (NP) options, a post-master’s nurse practitioner graduate diploma in Nursing, and a doctor of philosophy (PhD) in Nursing.

Nursing is one of today’s most challenging and rewarding careers, and nurses play a vital role in our health care system. They work to promote health and prevent illness in a variety of settings. The FNSB was established in February 2022, through a series of school-attendance area referenda, enabling Yukon First Nations to assume shared authority with Government of Yukon in the delivery of public-school education in the territory. Board-run schools continue to follow the BC Curriculum, but tailor the programming, lesson delivery and assessment methodology to reflect Yukon First Nations worldviews.

These schools are for all Yukon students and promote reconciliation by enhancing a Yukon First Nations model that puts the student first, through a strengths-based, community-centered approach.

Equally, all teachers are welcome at these schools and are supported by the Board to adapt their strengths and thrive within the new pedagogy. We aim to authentically work with the community to make student-centered decisions, utilizing Community Committees and Parent Advisory Committees, that are currently in the process of being established.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police

RNC Crest

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is Newfoundland and Labrador’s Provincial Police Service. The RNC is a modern, progressive, police agency that responds to the needs of the community by seeking advice and input from those it serves. 

The RNC is a fully integrated police service made up of approximately 420 police officers and 100 civilian employees who are dedicated to ‘Building Safe and Healthy Communities Together’. 

The RNC provides service to 29 communities in three jurisdictions serving approximately 257,000 people. The RNC is currently recruiting for it 2025-26 Cadet Training Program.
