Unsure about your future career? Career Development is offering the Strong Interest Inventory Assessment free of charge to Memorial students as a career exploration and planning resource.

"The Strong Interest Inventory® assessment is a career exploration and planning tool designed to identify an individual’s interests and work preferences. It helps people explore potential careers and educational pathways that align with their interests, leading to more informed decisions and successful, fulfilling careers."

Your interests are significant in shaping your career path. Complete the SII assessment and receive a thorough report that identifies your interests and work preferences. This offering is divided into two parts:

Part 1 - Strong Interest Inventory Introduction:
Learn about the Strong Interest Inventory 244 assessment and complete the assessment on-site. Please bring your laptop to the intro session. Offered on Tuesdays.
 
Part 2 - Strong Interest Group Facilitation:
Return to Career Development to receive a hard copy of your report and participate in a group facilitated workshop to help you interpret your results. Offered on Thursdays.

The assessment consists of a series of questions that ask about preferences for various activities, occupations, and leisure activities. It measures interests across a range of areas, including:

  • Occupational Interests: Jobs or careers might be appealing.
  • Academicand Recreational Interests: Areas of study and activities that a person enjoys.
  • Work Style Preferences: How a person prefers to work, such as independently or in a team, etc..
