Strengths

"All too often, our natural talents go untapped. From the cradle to the cubicle, we devote more time to fixing our shortcomings than to developing our strengths."   -StrengthsFinder 2.0

People who focus on their strengths are more productive, happier and six times as likely to be engaged in their jobs. During this workshop, you will discover your unique top 5 strengths using Gallup's CliftonStrengths Assessment, a web-based tool to measure natural patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving from the perspective of positive psychology. Using your report, explore how to focus and develop your talents personally and professionally, whether for your job search, future career plans, or relationships.

Attend a "Leveraging Your Strengths" workshop at the Career Development Office on campus in order to:

· Identify, explore, and articulate your top 5 strengths and how they resonate with you
· Understand how to describe your strengths in various career-related contexts (on your resume/LinkedIn profile, in interviews, and more)
· Develop ideas to move forward with potential career path(s)

This workshop is two hours in total. The assessment will be completed on-site during the workshop and take approximately 35-40 minutes to complete. Once you receive your results you will read over your individualized report and the Strengths workshop facilitator will help you to understand your report further. You will then learn about new ways to leverage and apply your strengths in your daily life.
