The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science recently signed an MOU with the Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering.

This cooperation was initiated under the “Development of Polar Shipping Technology for the Pioneering of Arctic Ports” project, supported by the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and the Korea Planning and Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT). The Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering (KRISO) and Memorial University will expand academic and personnel exchanges, develop joint international research projects and strengthen technical cooperation to establish a leading partnership in the fields of polar shipping and ice engineering.
