In Moncton, 25 women were named Atlantic Canada's 25 most powerful women in business in 2024 by Atlantic Business Magazine. 

On the list of award winners is Jennifer Williams, President and CEO of NL Hydro.  "I have two daughters doing engineering, so sort of following the path that I took. It's important for me directly at home to show them ... what success can look like.", shared Jennifer. 

Williams is passionate about supporting women and girls in general, and within the STEM field in particular, eagerly accepting opportunities where she can offer her support as a presenter, speaker or mentor. Among her many accomplishments, Jennifer received the Canadian Woman of Renewable Energy Award in 2022 from Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE).

"I can tell you," she said, "women are just as good at engineering as men."
