Upcoming Terra Nova Young Innovator Award Information Session
The Office of Vice-President (Research) is hosting an information session for faculty who are interested in applying for or learning more about the Terra Nova Young Innovator Award (TNYIA) on Tuesday, March 24 from 2-4 p.m. in the Junior Common Room, R. Gushue Hall.
The funding reflects a shared commitment by Suncor energy Inc. and Memorial University to enable exceptional young faculty to explore novel ideas and be creative in the way they investigate important research issues. Applicants must have received their first university faculty-level appointment not more than 10 years prior to the competition deadline and should be full-time faculty members.
If you know of someone who is eligible for the TNYIA and has a specific research proposal that is particularly innovative and has real potential to make a significant impact on society, we encourage you to invite them to attend the information session. We will be reviewing the terms of reference for the award and highlighting aspects of the application process. Two recipients of the award will be presenting on their successfully funded research proposals. All faculties and disciplines are invited to attend.
