NSERC information sessions

Members of the university community are invited to attend two upcoming information sessions on the St. John’s Campus, hosted by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).  On Wednesday, July 19, program officers will deliver two in-person educational sessions:

Session 1: General NSERC Updates & Research Tools and Instruments (RTI) Updates

This session takes place from 1- 2:30 p.m. in Innovation Hall, room IIC-2001, in the Bruneau Centre for Research and Innovation. It will include an overview of the NSERC funding programs; updates on recent changes to funding programs and the application process; updates on the Research Tools and Instruments (RTI) program; and a questions and answers period.

Please note: a live webcast of this presentation will be available for participants who cannot attend in person. Participants who wish to submit questions via email for consideration during the question and answer portion of the presentation should email susan.flanagan@mun.ca

 


 

Session 2: Discovery Grants Program

This session runs from 3-5 p.m. in Room C-2004 in the Chemistry/Physics Building. NSERC program officers will provide an overview of the Discovery Grants Program and updates on changes to the application requirements and process. Memorial’s own NSERC Discovery evaluations group members will be there to help answer any questions regarding applications or the adjudication process.
