The Office of the Vice-President (Research) welcomes submissions for possible candidates to be invited to present at Memorial as the 2023 David Hawkins Lecturer.

The David Hawkins Lectureship was created jointly by the Medical Research Council of Canada and Memorial to honour the contributions of Dr. Hawkins — a former dean in the Faculty of Medicine — to health sciences research in this country.

It was the intention of the council and the university that the lecturer be selected from within the health research community in its broadest sense.

Members of the university community can forward the names of individuals, along with the person’s CVs and a brief description of their work, to Ellen Steinhauer at ellens@mun.ca by Aug. 15.
