Brown bag consultation: Highlighting revised draft of Research Impacting Indigenous Groups (RIIG) Policy

Dr. Paul Banahene Adjei, interim associate vice-president (Indigenous research), is hosting a hybrid brown bag consultation regarding the revised draft of Memorial’s Research Impacting Indigenous Groups (RIIG) Policy. Dr. Adjei will highlight the revisions to the draft and feedback provided during ongoing consultations. There will also be time for a Q&A.

In October, Memorial announced it is seeking input on a revised draft of the RIIG Policy. Individuals are encouraged to provide feedback until the end of the year.
In May 2022 the university approved a two-phased approach to review the policy. The first phase concluded this March. During phase two, members of the university and wider communities can review the draft policy before it is brought to the President’s Executive Council, Senate and the Board of Regents for approval.
