IBM quantum workshop

As part of Research Week, IBM is hosting an all-day workshop focused on the current and future states of quantum computing, from both the hardware and software perspectives.

The morning session will take place from 9 a.m.-12:15 p.m. It will include an introduction to IBM and quantum computing; how to get started in quantum; and a presentation about the Quebec Digital and Quantum Innovation Platform (PINQ²).

The afternoon session will take place from 1:30-4:30 p.m., and will include a workshop on Qiskit, the world’s most popular software stack for quantum computing; information for the quantum student community; and possibly end with an advanced Qiskit tutorial.

There will be 20 seats available for members of the university community.
