Community Service and Volunteering
While scholastic achievements and competing against other engineers are thought to be invaluable parts of doing an engineering degree, the experience of serving the community is also vital. Nearly every student experience contains at least some element of volunteerism. The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science encourages its students to volunteer in the events that it hosts on and off campus.
In addition to volunteering, students can apply for the Angus Bruneau Student LIFE Program. This program funds student-led initiatives that significantly enhance the experience of students in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Memorial University.
