Engineering students performed well at regional student competition
Engineering students performed well at the recent Atlantic Engineering Competition (AEC), hosted by Dalhousie University, with two Memorial teams qualifying for the national Canadian Engineering Competition (CEC) next month, hosted by the University of Waterloo.
In total, 27 students representing seven teams from Memorial engineering participated in the competition with second-place finishes in the innovative design and programming categories.
AEC is divided into eight categories: junior design, senior design, consulting, engineering communications, programming, innovative design, re-engineering and extemporaneous debate. Memorial engineering was represented in six categories.
The CEC is scheduled for Feb. 24-27. We wish our students the very best in the competition as they compete against their peers on a national level.
