International Agreements and Funding
Memorial has signed agreements with CANAPE (Costa Rica), FUNED (Mexico), and are in discussions with several other governmental and funding agencies. These funding opportunities from your home countries can provide financial support as you pursue your graduate studies at the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science. Costa Rica – CONAPE
CONAPE will provide funding that covers 100% of Memorial’s program cost and includes monthly payment of more than US $2,000 living expenses for the entire duration of program. Memorial will provide baseline funding in the minimum amount of $6,850 Canadian dollars per year, for up to two years to students who are admitted to a fellowship-eligible, in-person, 2-year research Master of Engineering (MEng) degree program by Memorial's School of Graduate Studies and on the recommendation of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science. Mexico – FUNED
FUNED will provide funding up to US $30,000 per student based on the results of FUNED's needs evaluation of each student and other criteria. Memorial will provide baseline funding of $8,000 Canadian dollars per year, for up to two years to students who are admitted to a fellowship-eligible, in-person, 2-year research Master of Engineering (MEng) degree program by Memorial's School of Graduate Studies and on the recommendation of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science. Colombia – COLFUTURO
COLFUTURO will provide loan-scholarship of up to US $50,000 per student for a maximum period of two years. Memorial will provide baseline funding of $8,000 Canadian dollars per year, for up to two years to students who are admitted to a fellowship-eligible, in-person, 2-year research Master of Engineering (MEng) degree program by Memorial's School of Graduate Studies and on the recommendation of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science. Students must meet both Memorial's and external organization's requirements to be considered for the funding options.
