COVID-19 Relief for MASc students
The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science (FEAS) has created COVID-19 Financial Relief for MASc Students (FEAS-COVID-Relief) to help students facing extreme financial difficulties due to COVID-19 impacts.
Students in the Master of Applied Science programs who unexpectedly find themselves in extreme financial difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic and residing in Canada are eligible to apply. This bursary is granted to MASc students based on the criticality of the financial need in the form of a one-time only, non-repayable bursary.
Eligibility
- Full-time student enrolled in a MASc program.
- Completed at least 6 credit hours of the program courses before the Spring 2020 semester.
- Registered for at least 6 credit hours of the program courses for the Spring 2020 semester.
- Facing extreme financial circumstances.
How to apply
Students must complete all the sections in the application form with detailed information. The application deadline is May 29, 2020. Applications shall be submitted to Associate Dean Graduate Studies (Engineering) office through email: engrgrad@mun.ca. If you have any question, please feel free to contact Jinghua at jnie@mun.ca. Again, application must be submitted through engrgrad@mun.ca.
After the application is submitted
The applications will be reviewed by the ADGS office and recommendations will be submitted to the Office of the Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science for approvals. Once the approvals are given, the students selected for the relief fund will be contacted by email and the bursary will be processed.
