Dr. Ali Pazahr is an instructor at Memorial University of Newfoundland's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, with over 20 years of experience in academia and software development. His multidisciplinary expertise is in computer engineering, IT management, and the relevant research. His scholarly and professional work is focused on creating innovative learning environments while advancing the field of computer science through groundbreaking research in areas such as recommender systems and data security.

He holds a Ph.D. in IT from the University of Valencia, Spain, specializing in recommender systems. He has made several contributions to academia, including authoring peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers, covering topics such as hybrid recommender systems, security models for social networks, intelligent applications in healthcare and a book about multimedia systems. His publications are featured in prominent venues, such as Journal of Contemporary Medical Sciences and the Journal of Advances in Computer Research.

Throughout his academic career, he has taught a wide array of computer science and computer engineering courses, mentoring both undergraduate and graduate students including 4572 associate, bachelor and master students in disciplines such as software engineering, full-stack web development, and multimedia systems. He is actively involved in the academic community as a reviewer for international conferences and journals and serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Medical Internet Research (JMIR), Toronto, Canada and as an editorial member of the International Journal of Novel Computer Science and Power Solutions. His research and development of a patent framework for increasing social network security underscore his commitment to advancing of technology for the benefit of society.
