The Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging is a national study of adult development, and aging that will recruit 50,000 individuals across Canada. Information will be collected from participants through telephone interviews, in person interviews, as well as cognitive and physical assessments. 

 

DUTIES

Reporting to the Study Coordinator and Principal Investigator, the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA) by assisting with telephone and in-person interviews, as well as cognitive assessments; scheduling interviews with pre-selected participants; obtaining participant consent; conducting phone and home interviews using Beartooth and Pine software; initializing and distributing mobility trackers using the Virtual Machine Manager (VM); distributing stool kits to eligible participants; evaluating the efficacy and effectiveness processes; maintaining confidentiality and security of all information related to participants under the HREA certification; and performing other related duties as required. Weekend and evening work is a possibility. Training is provided.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience (1-3 years) working with the public; graduation from high school supplemented by courses from a post-secondary education institution; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.  The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills as well as excellent attention to detail. Experience with Microsoft Office is required. Experience in health research and with (CAPI) computer assisted personal interview, knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology are assets. The successful candidate must hold a valid driver's license, a vehicle, cell phone, and have access to internet.

 

SALARY                                  $26.32 – $29.73 hourly (Non-Bargaining)
