Student Scholarships and Awards
We believe in recognizing academic excellence and hard work. You deserve it! Below you'll find information pertinent to our annual Dean's List and its associated student awards, as well as details on scholarships and bursaries.
Scholarships and Bursaries
Scholarships are based on academic performance and are awarded to the student with the highest marks who meets the conditions of the scholarship.
Bursaries are primarily based on financial need and may be awarded to full-time students who have a minimum GPA of 2 (out of a possible 4) and who meet certain other conditions of the bursary.
There are lots of scholarships and bursaries available to students pursuing a degree in Humanities and Social Sciences. We've also got scholarships for students planning to study aborad.
There are also several scholarships administered directly by HSS:
- Heaslip Scholarship for 2nd year students in financial need
- Karl M. Wells Scholarship in LGBTQ2S+ Studies
- The Wesley and Jeanne Drodge NL Partnership Scholarship
