Community of Practice event - Indigenous Inclusion 2.0
The Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI) has formed a partnership with Indigenous Works, a national non-profit organization with the mandate of increasing Indigenous inclusion and engagement in the Canadian economy.
During the fall, CCDI and Indigenous Works will be hosting a Community of Practice Event titled Indigenous Inclusion 2.0. This event will take participants through the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s recommendations related to the workplace, share locally relevant issues around Indigenous inclusion and provide examples of ways employers can work toward meaningful reconciliation.
This event, conducted via Zoom, will be offered on the following dates/times between Oct. 5 and Nov. 4. Please note, times are listed in Newfoundland Time.

This session is open to employees who wish to learn more about the history, challenges and opportunities related to Indigenous inclusion in the workplace, and who aspire to promote and support a more inclusive work environment for Indigenous peoples.
Each session will be two and a half hours long. The first two hours will be facilitated learning covering topics like the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action and creating a Reconciliation Action Plan. The last half hour will be for networking and follow-up questions.
Early registration is encouraged as the maximum enrollment for each session is 100 participants. To maintain attendee’s privacy and to encourage open communication, none of the sessions will be recorded.
